Terms of Use

The service

NumLM Tools is a collection of calculators, converters and text, developer, file, finance and AI tools that run entirely in your browser. Basic tools can be used without an account. Some features are offered as a beta to users who log in (see “Beta features”). We may add, change, suspend or remove any tool — or the service as a whole — at any time without notice.

Beta features

• Features marked “Log in · Beta” require logging in with a Kakao, Naver or Google account.
• We may later introduce usage limits or paid plans for these features. We will announce any such change on the site at least 30 days before it applies; charges, if any, will never apply to use before that date, and paying will always require your separate, explicit agreement.
• Beta features may change, have limits, or end. Your photos and files are processed on your device, so ending a beta never deletes anything from your device.
• Usage counts reported by your browser are used for planning and abuse prevention; they are not a billing record.
• Automatic face detection in the video face-blur tool is an aid for your own review. It does not guarantee that every face is masked or that a video is anonymised for legal purposes; you remain responsible for reviewing the result before sharing it.

Accounts

• You must be at least 14 years old to create an account. An account is for one person; do not use someone else’s login.
• You can delete your account at any time from the account menu. We may delete accounts not used for 2 years.
• We may suspend or delete an account, without notice where necessary, if it is used to break the law, attack or overload the service, automate beta features at volumes that impair them for others, falsify usage reports, or circumvent limits. Basic tools remain available without an account.

Results are not professional advice

Every result is an automated calculation provided for general information and education. Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax, legal, medical or other professional advice, and no result creates any offer or obligation. Exchange rates are daily reference rates, not rates any bank will transact at; finance results are planning estimates; health-related figures (such as BMI) are generic formulas, not a diagnosis. Verify independently before acting on any result that matters — you use the tools and their output at your own risk.

Your data and backups

Everything you enter is processed and stored only in your browser; we cannot see it, and we cannot restore it. Browser data can be lost — cleared site data, private windows, another device, or your browser’s own eviction policies. Where a tool offers Export, use it as your backup. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of data stored locally in your browser.

Acceptable use

• Use the site only in compliance with applicable law.
• Do not attack, overload, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure, and do not scrape it at volumes that impair it for others.
• Do not misrepresent the site or its results as your own service, and do not remove or obscure notices of origin.
• Do not submit unlawful content, or another person’s personal data, through the feedback form.

Intellectual property

The site’s own code, texts, design and the NL mark are © NumLM, all rights reserved; except as permitted by applicable law or an applicable open-source licence, they may not be copied or republished. Open-source components are governed by their own licences, listed on the Help page, and those licences prevail over conflicting restrictions in these terms. In particular, these terms do not restrict replacement or modification of LGPL-covered libraries, or reverse engineering to debug modifications to those libraries, as permitted by the applicable LGPL.

You retain any rights you hold in files you select and in the resulting converted files. NumLM claims no ownership of your images, converted files or other tool output, and requires no attribution for using that output. Conversion does not transfer ownership or grant rights in another person’s content. You are responsible for having the rights or permissions needed to process and use your files, including for commercial use.

Feedback

Feedback is voluntary. By sending it you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to use it to operate and improve the service, without compensation or obligation to act on it.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NumLM is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profit, arising from use of (or inability to use) the site.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the effective date above shows the current version. Material changes will be announced on this page before they take effect. Continued use of the site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without depriving you of protections granted by mandatory law of the country where you reside.
