How to use
- Choose a tab: ‘Days between dates’ to count a gap, or ‘Add or subtract’ to shift a date.
- Set the start date — leave it empty to start from today — and an end date on the first tab.
- Tick ‘Include the end day’ to count both end dates; the other count stays in the second card.
- On ‘Add or subtract’, choose Add or Subtract and fill the Years, Months, Weeks and Days fields.
- Set Business days to skip weekends and holidays, then Copy the result or use Share link.
FAQ
Should I include the end day when counting days between dates?
Both answers are valid, which is why this tool shows them side by side. The exclusive count is the gap between the dates (1 to 3 January is 2 days); the inclusive count also counts the first and last day (3 days). Contracts and rental periods usually mean the inclusive count.
How are business days counted?
Every Saturday and Sunday in the range is skipped, and with a holiday preset selected the public holidays for that country are skipped too. The holidays that fell inside your range are listed under the result so you can check them.
What is 31 January plus one month?
28 February (29 February in a leap year). When the target month has no matching day, the date is clamped to the last day of that month. Months are added before days, so 31 January plus one month and one day is 1 March.
