How to use

  1. Type the spending goal your card requires, for example 500,000 won or $4,000.
  2. Enter the qualifying amount you have spent so far — copy it from your card issuer's app.
  3. Check the amount left, the daily spend you need and the D-Day countdown.
  4. Add your other cards, or open Period to use a fixed window for a welcome bonus.

FAQ

When does the qualifying period run from and to?

For most cards it is the previous calendar month, the 1st to the last day, and the benefit applies the month after. Some cards — Korean Hyundai cards and many corporate cards — count from a set day each month tied to the statement date instead, and welcome bonuses use a one-off window of 60 or 90 days. This tool covers all three: "Every month", "Every month from a set day" and "Fixed period". Check your issuer for the exact dates; nothing here is guessed from a card database.

What usually doesn't count towards the minimum spend?

Almost everywhere: annual fees, interest and late charges, cash advances, card loans and revolving balances, gift cards and prepaid top-ups, cancelled or refunded transactions, the part paid with points, taxes, fines and social insurance, and school fees. Utility bills, interest-free instalments and mobile-wallet payments vary by card — and two cards from the same issuer often differ. The "What usually doesn't count" tab lists them, but only your own card terms are binding.

Do interest-free instalments count?

On most cards they do not. Where they do, the whole principal usually counts in the month of purchase rather than being split across the instalments. Because the rule is per card, this tool does not try to decide for you: enter the qualifying figure your issuer shows, and use the memo field on the card to note "instalments not counted" so future you remembers why the number differs from your statement.

If I meet the requirement this month, when does the benefit start?

Usually the following month — the requirement is checked on the period that has just closed, which is exactly why Korean cards call it 전월실적 ("previous-month spend"). So the goal you are filling now buys next month's discounts, not today's. When a period rolls over, this tool files the closed period under "Previous periods" with a met/missed mark so you can see at a glance whether this month's benefits are safe.

How is the daily amount worked out?

(goal − spent) ÷ days left, counting today, rounded up to the nearest 100 won (or $0.50) so it is a number you can act on. 180,000 won left over 10 days is 18,000 won a day. "At this pace" is the other direction: it takes what you have spent per day so far and projects it over the whole period, so you can see whether you are on track without doing the arithmetic.

Where does the data I type go?

Nowhere. There is no account, no server and no analytics on your figures: cards, goals and amounts live in this browser's local storage and are never put in the URL either, so a link you share carries no numbers. Card numbers are never asked for — a nickname is all the tool needs. Clearing your browser data clears the tool, and another device will not see these cards.
